Recent experience
Contested contact
Acting for the father, won continued access to a child, in spite of the mother’s hostility and her allegations of abuse which resulted in a fact-finding hearing.
Child abduction
Claire successfully acted for a mother after the father abducted their child, locating the girl and enabling them to reunite: Claire made an application to the High Court to make the child a Ward of Court and then obtained further High Court orders, one to question family members before the court as to the whereabouts of the father and child and another to obtain a publicity order.
Child access
Claire obtained a Prohibited Steps Order on behalf of a mother to prevent a father relocating from London to Devon. The couple had two children, one staying with the father, one with the mother. Claire argued that if the Father moved, it would not be in the best interests of the children as existing contact arrangements as well as the siblings’ time together would be disrupted.
