We are experienced in all areas of Family Law and we offer a sympathetic and understanding approach accepting that  separation is often an emotional and stressful time for clients.


All members of the Family Department are members of Resolution and support a conciliatory non-confrontational approach to Family Law. Bernadette Hoy heads the department and is an accredited member of Resolution recognising her specialism in Family Law. She is also a member of the Law Society Family Panel and a trained Collaborative Family Lawyer and is able to offer collaborative law as an alternative to the adversarial court process for both financial and children matters. Bernadette has acted for a diverse range of clients and offers a sensitive but constructive approach.

We offer a fixed fee for the initial meeting and for straightforward undefended divorce proceedings. Thereafter we charge in accordance with how much time is spent on your matter, on an agreed hourly rate which reflects the experience of your solicitor.
